What Could Cause Slightly Itchy Rashes Under The Eyebrow?

Have a slightly raised rash right under my eyebrow and right around the area at the end of my eyebrow. There is a dark spot at the area at the edge/end of the eyebrow. Only my right eyebrow affected. Itches slightly on and off. Has been there for several weeks now. What could this be?

Hi,

You seem to have developed an allergic skin disease.
You should avoid applying any kind of skin irritants like dettol, spirit over it.
Skin allergy in this area can occur due to any eye drops being used.
Even application of eye makeup can cause such an allergy.
So you should aviod using any such thing for the time being.

You might need to apply a topical steroid cream over the affected area twice a day for few days.
Take some oral antihistamines along.
See a nearby dermatologist if the condition tends to persist despite this therapy.
You might need a course of oral steroids.

Hope it helps,

Dr Geetika Paul.
