What Could Cause Pain In Er Flap?

the ear flap right above where my original ear hole begins has been hurting. I ve felt between the flap and the skin and it feels like there is a bump or almost a scab or wax that will not come off. after I feel that it hurts extremely bad if touched by anything. it s been like this or a while. today I checked it again without touching the inside of the flap where the bump thing is and I heard a little pop and had a little bit of runny discharge come out it had a little blood and wax. what is happening?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,
I think you are suffering from otitis externa, but is it bacterial or fungal only examination can tell. But reading your description, I am more towards bacterial otitis externa. You can start ciplox ear drops during day, and antibiotic ointment with steroid preparation during night. analgesics for pain can be used as and when required
