What Could Cause Loose Motions In An Infant After Antibiotics Intake?
Hi My 10.5 months baby boy was suferring from cold and chest congestion and while coughing he was started vomiting. We took him to pediatrician on 9th Sep morning and doctor gave him following medicine: Augmemtin Syrup 3ML - Thrice a day Syrup Azee 100 5ML - Once a day Syrup Prospan 5ML - Trice a day From 10th Sep afternoon, he started loose motions (around 10-12) and had fever (100 F). On 11th Sep morning we again went to doctor for Loose motions and doctor changed the medicine to : Ciprolar 2ML - twice a day Septran - 4ML - Twice a day Nutrolin B - 2ML - thrice a day Prospan - Cough Crocin Drops - SOS We continued this but problem of loose motion and vomiting increased on 11th Sep afternoon, his fever rose to 103F. Seeing this doctor went for intravenous shots for antibiotics. Doctor gave antibiotics shots on 11th Sep night, 12th Sep morning and 12th Sep Night. During this period, she stopped Seprtan and Ciplorar but continued Nutrolin B and Crocin drops. She also told that from tommorow onwards (13th Sep) , we have to start regular antibiotibcs (as mentioned above) Today i.e 13th Sep morning, My son had 10 loose motions till 11:00 AM and had mild fever in the morning (100F). Medicines that i gave him since morning are: Septran, Ciplorar and Crocin drops (as he was having fever)

Ur baby had losse motion
It may last sometimes for week or more
U have to be patience .
For losse stool u continued Antibiotic and
Start syrup zinc ( zinconia) 5 ml for 14 days and also continued neutrolin B
Also start ORS podwer or readymade ORS
If stool are loose then do stool report and consult ur paediatrician asap
If following is present then u have to worry for that and admit ur baby
1.baby is not playing and sleeping all the day
2.not passing urine for 8 to 10 hour
3. Fever of s continued for three times a day
Ur baby had losse motion
It may last sometimes for week or more
