What Could Cause Knots On Head?

sometimes i get knots on my head and 2-3 days later they go away. Not painful or anything like that. My wife of a year has just recently felt them and is freaking out that i need to get to the doctor. It is something i have lived with my whole life. I do sometimes get migraines, but maybe once every three months. Please help get her off my back with an explanation. Thank you

Hello,

Your symptoms could be related to local inflammation or inflammatory lymph nodes. Another possible explication would be the remodelation of the skull bones, which is a common and continuous process.

I don't think that anything serious is going on as you have a lot of years living with this phenomenon.

Anyway, I recommend consulting with your doctor when these knots appear for a physical exam. Checking vitamin D plasma levels is necessary too.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
