What Could Cause Intestinal Cramps While Rolling Over In The Bed And Coughing?

When I move in certain ways like trying to wipe myself or roll over in bed or cough while I am standing it feels like my intestines are twisting and the pain almost takes my breath away sometimes it only last for a moment other times it lasts much longer and the place where the pain was is sore to the touch.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Occasional non specific appearance of intestine cramps while rolling over or coughing can be considered non significant from a clinical perspective as it can be indigestion, gas or other physiological disturbance issues.

However, if persistent over a period of time, particularly in the same location, may I suggest underlying diverticular inflammation or other intestine issues.

I recommend a visit to your consultant surgeon for further guidance in this regard.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wish you great health.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
