What Could Cause Increased Heart Rate And Easily Fatigued Limbs?

I am 49 years old for the past 2 months I have notice my heart rate gets fast just doing every day task and just walking from the parking lot to the grocery store it feels like my legs are tired. I sometimes have numbness in my feet, and when trying to exercise my arms get tired quickly. This is strange for me because I use to lift weights and work out at least 3 times a week but now its hard because my heart goes up quickly which scares me and my arms and legs get tired quick. What is causing these symptoms? Please help

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

In the normal heart beat, a 'signal' or 'stimulus' starts at a specific point of the heart then travels along a specific pathway to stimulate rest of the heart to contract.

Palpitations can occur if there is any abnormality in this system.
There are different potential causes but initially an abnormal heart beat needs to demonstrated by investigations.

An ECG is the initial test that would be suggested by your doctor. If this is normal and you are still having symptoms then a holter may be needed. A holter is essentially a 24 hour ECG.

Blood tests such as complete blood count and thyroid function tests may also be done.

I hope this helps
