What Could Cause High Temperature And Rashes On Body Of A Child While Being On Ibuprofen And Paracetamol?

Hi, my 1.5 year old son had high temperature (39.6) for 4 days in a row and now that has gone he has a red rash all over his body. I have been giving him Ibuprofen and Paracetamol generously while he was having the fever. What is the rash? YYYY@YYYY

Hello! Thank you for being with healthcare magic. Im sorry to hear that your son is sick. The rashes appeared after the fever has gone? Did the rashes start from the head spreading to the feet? is he more active now despite the rash? If this is the case, chances are it is a viral exanthem specifically Roseala Infantum. At this time, youre son is already recovering from
the illness and is not contagious. But it will be best to go to your doctor so a complete physical examination can be done which I can't do. Hope i was able to help you with your query. Have a good day!

Sincerely,
Hannalae Dulay-See, M.D.
