What Could Cause Disturbed Sleep And Constant Crying?

My daughter has started over the past 4 days to go to bed around 7.30 - 8pm and sleep aprrox 2hrs then wake up with uncontrollable crying to the sheer poing of screaming. my husband and i both work and we are very desperate now to get to the problem of whats going on. we cant see whats wrong. nothings changed, no new baby, nursery, school, layout, rountine everythign is the same as last week. as im writing she has only just gone off since 9pm, our other duaghter is suffering now as we are both too exhausted to asocialate with her or engage conversation. please help. its been going on for 4-6 days and she is 2 an half years old, attends nursery on a wednesday morning and friday all day due to work commitments for myself. previously she would go to bed and sleep through with the very odd night of waking but always managed to get herself back off to sleep.

Hi, thanks for asking.
In my opinion your child is having night terrors.
In this condition the child is inconsolable and is mostly crying with the eyes closed.
You can clam her down and re assure her. If she does not seem to listen try to wake her up. Once she is awake console her and put her back to sleep. Do not worry. this will not last long.
