What Could Cause Cough In A 1 Month Old Child?

My 1 month old baby is suffering from Cough and cold and doctors over here have prescribed Mucolite Cough Syrup that too 6 drops , I did give 6 drops and Then my child started crying loud.Please let me know what do I, Now after some time sh went to sleep Please let me know if this medicine has any side effect ?

Hallo . Thank you for asking this question .For cold you can give decongestive drops and for cough mucolite is ok . Give this drops slowly one by one . Let the baby swallow one drop then give 2nd drop . Sometime when we give many drops together that make baby uncomfortable .Hope I have answered your query .For further questions please contact .
