Hi,

I noted the history about your husband having blood in poop and on tissues after colonoscopic removal of a pre-cancerous polyp 2 years back, has warm body like fever, bad back ache, swelling and bloating all the time, and barium enema normal. Blood in stool and on tissues is suggestive that it is coming from the distal colon or rectum or most probably from the anal canal.

I would advise you the following:

- Get a colonoscopy done again.

- Ano-proctoscopy can tell for the cause and a plan for treatment like injection or operation for piles/ fissure.

- Added CT can of the abdomen and X-ray of the chest is a must for ruling out causes of fever such as liver abscess, pneumonia.

- Tests of stool, blood and urine.

All these thing will help you to get the probable cause and a plan for management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant
