What Could Cause Burning In Stomach After Taking Dymetapp For Cold?
Hi, so I m a 20 year female and whenever I get a cold or feel like I m getting one I take children s Dymetapp (I know I am no longer a child but it works for me and take the right amount) every time I take it I get this burning feeling in my stomach only when I take Dymetapp why does this happen and should i be concerned?
Dymetapp is brompheniramine/pseudoephedrine combination. Brompheniramine can cause constipation and stomach upset and pseudoephedrine can also add up to the stomach problems. Probably you are getting burning sensation due to acid peptic disease. Though it's not worrisome; it's not advisable to leave it over long term. I would have prescribed pantoprazole 20mg when you are taking the above medicine for around five days 20minutes before breakfast. If that doesn't resolve your stomach problem, I would have changed dymetapp.
