What Could Cause Burning And Tingling Sensation In Hands Every Morning?

Hello - Most mornings for the last few weeks, I wake up very early to stiffness, tingling, and sometimes burning in my hands and lower arms. I ve tried sleeping in different positions, and on different surfaces. This does not happen every night, and it occasionally happens randomly during the day. I don t do a lot of typing, but I sometimes do a lot of physical labor (landscaping) with my hands. I ve tried wearing braces designed to lesson carpal tunnel syndrome. Still no relief. Please describe any possible causes and/or treatments. Thank you. XXXX

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to nerve compression at cervical spine level.

For further assessment you may require MRI neck, nerve conduction studies after spine surgeon consultation.

You may require tablet Pregabalin and multivitamin after consultation.

Do regular physical therapy.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr Shyam Kale
