What Could Cause A Child To Have Spasms On The Right Side Of The Body?

Our grand baby has been having spasms since 5 months and has couased severe delays most severe on her right side. Today when I picked her up and played up with putting her in up with my arms and down, she cried so hard. IS there something else going on here.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to Ask A Doctor. I have read your query and here is my advice.
I am very much concerned that your infant granddaughter is having seizures. Seizures can be associated with delays of muscle as well as mental functioning.
The best kind of physician to evaluate her will be a pediatric neurologist.
Please locate one in your area and take her there as soon as possible.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions, I will be happy to help.
