What Could Burning And Tingling In Knees, Elbows And Forearms Indicate?

I m having an issue with burning, and tingling in both my knees and elbows and forearms. Went to see a Neurologist and he found I had a very high B6 toxicity from a supplement I had been taking. I ve been off the supplement for almost 7 months ( my B6 levels have been normal for 5 months) but I m still getting this burning in my knees & arms. My neurologist says all the tests we ve done are normal. Also, I had a serious accident about 14 months ago and knee surgery (MCL). What could be causing this burning? When it s at its worst I even feel slight burning in my stomach and throat. Any help would be appreciated.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Being unable to straighten the knee, severe pain and the grinding sound are enough reasons to get concerned. I will suggest that you get this knee examined and a basic X-ray done to understand what the exact problem could be. This would guide treatment as to whether you may need just drugs or need other orthopedic measures for treatment purposes. For now, avoid straightening the leg, avoid bearing pain on the right knee, apply cold packs and also take Tylenol and Ibuprofen to reduce the pains and discomfort.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Iven Romic Rommstein, General Surgeon
