Hello,

Severe stomach cramps along with blood on wiping is most probably indicative of an intestinal infection, particularly colitis.

This can be diagnosed by clinical evaluation by your Doctor, watch for per-rectal examination to see for any fissure or piles that are bleeding. Tests of stool and blood can be done.

A proper course of an antibiotic active against intestinal infection, metronidazole and probiotics should help you. Take plenty of oral fluids to keep well hydrated and take electrolyte solution.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant
