Hey the Past 5days just after my period has finished I have trouble going to the toilet , I feel Bloated after a meal I wake up With nausea and today I feel like I have the flu however I have been exercising and on a diet and I have a history of ibs
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history of having trouble going to toilet after 5 days of finishing periods, bloating after meals, woke up with nausea, felt like flu, still exercising and on a diet; have also history of IBS. The symptoms may be due to flu and stomach bug. I would advise you the following in such a situation: Take symptomatic treatment in the form of Paracetamol, activated charcoal, PPI like Omeprazole, Domperidone for nausea. Send the sample of stool and blood to see for evidence of infection. If there is an infection, please go for a course of an antibiotic and take rest. Stop exercising as the exertion will increase your problems and hence have strict bed rest. Continue full diet and take multivitamins as they help recovery well.
