What Could Be The Spot On The Inside Of Butt Cheek Which Is Swollen?

I have a spot on the inside of my butt cheek that's red an swollen. It's about the size of a quarter around. It hurts to sit and kind of hurts to walk. Doesn't look like a pimple and it is warm to the touch. This has happened multiple times before. What could it be?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that it is an abscess. This is a collection of pus. It tends to be painful and is associated with other signs of infection such as increased warmth, red .

The effective treatment of an abscess is incision and drainage of the lesion. This removes all the infected tissue and reduces the chance of recurrence. Antibiotics are also needed.

It would be best to visit your doctor for an assessment and treatment.

I hope this helps
