What Could Be The Reason For Itching And Oozing Of Toe?

My big toe on left foot started itching. I ve rubbed it in athlete foot cream for a week. Last night I rubbed it in 70% USP wintergreen rubbing alcohol. The next morning took a very warm bath. Afterwards, I messaged my big toe and it started oozing. I messaged my toe until no more liquid oozed. What is wrong with my toe?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms can be related to athlete's foot which is a fungal infection.
I suggest using Clotrimazole cream for local application.
I also suggest to use cotton socks and maintain a good hygiene.
If the symptoms continue, you may need using oral antifungal medications.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
