What Could Be The Reason For Having Red Patches On Inner Legs Above My Ankle?

I have red patches on inner legs above ankles they burn and turn purple at times my Dr. thinks it s peripheral vascular insufficiency. I think this would make me have discoloration rather than very colorful patches. No treatment has helped. Could this be more like neuropathy?

I too think that your doctor is correct. It may be peripheral vascular insufficiency.

However, a Physical examination is mandatory to assess this since there are variety of other causes that needs to be ruled out.

Neuropathy in that region usually presents as numbness and tingling rather than colorful patches.
