Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Could Be The Reason For Having Numbness In Legs?
My legs will go numb, sometimes so bad that I cannot stay upright, and end up on the floor until it subsides a few minutes later. I also have trouble with my lower back in the same way sometimes. I am Male, born in Scandinavia. I am now 75 years old.
Dear Sir, The numbness in your legs can be because of two reasons. The first being neuropathy which can be due to underlying diabetes or the second reason being spinal canal stenosis ie. narrowing of the spinal canal causing compression on the nerves that travel to your leg. I suggest you get your blood sugars checked and also meet a neurologist who should be able to help you. Hope this has helped you.
