What Could Be The Reason For Having Fluid Retention?

Husband has fluid retention in abdomen, legs and feet. Has about 50 lbs of fluid buildup. Gained 50 lbs in the last 7-months and 15 of those pounds in the last week. Currently in hospital and doctors can’t figure out what is causing the fluid retention.

there are many reasons for fluid build up including heart , kidney, liver problems. it would be difficult to pinpoint the reason in his case without complete history. I would suggest you discuss with the doctors as to what all they they have done so far and what possible reasons it could be in his case. sometimes, more than one reason may contribute in an individual
