What Could Be The Reason For Having A Twisted Part Of My Armpits That Swells And Oozes A Large Amount Of Green Pus?

I have a disgusting twisted part of my armpits(both) that swell to phenomenal proportions and when they lance they ooze a large amount of green pus that smells like a serious infection. Then they go down and go away. When i squeeze them sometimes the squirt out a nasty thick cottage cheese type substance that smells of ammonia. What is this from?

Hi there.

This form of infection is either due to hair follicles infection or due to lymph nodes of arm pit being infected.
The nature and smell of pus os probably due to Pseudomonas infection. ...as this organism is notorious for such smelly pus.

The treatment I'm afraid is only surgical and oral medicines alone will not cure it.
You have to get it surgically debided. Send the pus for culture and sensitivity test and start antibiotics accordingly .
The more you delay it the more it will spread.
