What Could Be The Reason For Getting Dizziness When I Stand Quickly?

Began an exercise program recently after years of absence. In my 50's I competed at a high level in distance cycling. At 67 I have begun an exercise program. My BP is normal 114/56 and resting heart rate 60. When I stand up quickly I get dizzy. This would happen occasionally in when much younger ( late 20"s) and competing on a national level. Resting HR then about 50. Last time I had Blood sugar checked, it was a little high at 117.

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
This is fairly common condition and this does not cause any harm this is called orthostatic hypotension, while you go standing quickly that cause dropping in blood pressure transiently and that is responsible for dizzy feel, take care while standing if you have history of orthostatic hypotension do not stand quickly, the blood is okay, no need to worry about it, I would advise you to get done the haemoglobin test, you can have vitamin supplement, have nice day.
