Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been feeling faint for three days. I can only walk short distances with ut sitting down. Yesterday I started having uncontrolable twitches. I had a hysterectomy October 17th and a colonostomy on December 17th. which was negative. I am 75 years old and have always been in good health.
Hello! I had gone through your query and understand your concern. There are many conditions that can cause weakness and feeling faint. If I were your treating doctor I would first rule out the most common causes. For this I would suggest to do some studies such as: -Complete blood count to exclude anemia (low red blood cells and low hemoglobin) -Blood sugar to exclude a Diabetes or Hypoglicemia. -Monitor your blood pressure to exclude a low blood pressure.
If this test result are normal and this symptoms persist I suggest to consult a physician for further diagnosis and treatment. Meanwhile you need rest, eat healthy mostly green vegetables and drink plenty of fluids.
Hope I was able to help you. Take care. Dr.Rovena
