What Could Be The Reason For Feeling A Pulling In Rib Area?

I mentioned having pain in left rib cage area at dr visit in January. They said get chest xray I had the xray and was told to get CT with contrast of left ribs. We were gone one week between chest xray and being told to get CT scan. I was not in much pain on the trip but when I went to bed at home on 5/3, I felt a pulling in rib area and have been in pain. Problems walking. The report from chest xray said left rib abnormality.

Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
You are having muscular cause for your chest pain.
Since you are having left rib abnormality, this cause muscle pull and muscle damage in certain postures.
So try to follow these steps for better symptomatic relief.
1. Avoid heavy weight lifting and strenuous exercise.
2. Avoid bad postures in sleep.
3. Take good painkiller and muscle relaxant.
4. Apply warm water pad on affected site.
5. Wear chest belt to avoid mobilisation of affected area.
