What Could Be The Rash On Wrist While Having Asthma?
Hi, my 2 year old has had a constant cough. His pead diagnosed him with Asthma a couple of months ago but now he has a rash on his wrist. He never scratches it which lets me think its not itchy. he seems fine, except this morning his eyes looked a bit puffy. what could be wrong?
Rash can be due to different causes such as allergy, infection (fungal, viral or bacterial most commonly), contact irritation with a chemical/substance. It would need to be seen to determine the likely cause.
Treatment would depend on the cause found.
The puffiness of his eyes may not indicate any problems
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic. I can understand your concern. Asthma cannot be diagnosed at the age of 2years of age. He needs to be examined for the rash. He will benefit from nebulizations for his cough. Moisterisation and keeping the skin hydrated is very important. Use mild soap for baths. Don't worry, he will be alright. Hope I have solved your query. Thanks.
