What Could Be The Lump On Neck?

HI there...yesterday I woke up with a BIG lump on the side of my neck...it is tender and hurts to turn my head and sleep on...today it is like a marble...hard and movable and very painful...and I have fever, a head ache and just generally not feeling flash..any ideas???

Thanks for the query.
You might have developed carbuncle.
These are deep bacterial infections.
Posterior hairline is very common site for these.
Do some hot fomentation.
This will help in collection of pus,
Treatment is with antibiotics but the choice of antibiotics should be based on culture and sensitivity tests.
Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
