My grandmother is 84 and starting to complain about pain in her lower right side of her stomach and it s starting to move into her back. It hurts when she walks too. She hasn t urinated as much in a few days. Trying to find what the problem is. We thought it was a urinary tract infection but she has drink a lot of water and took a 7 day antibiotic. General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi. This may be due to obstruction to the urinary flow in the upper ureter, causing back-pressure in the right kidney giving a typical pain you explained.
Please undergo urgent ultrasonography to see what is the problem.
Consult Urologist.
