What Could Be The Itchy Bumps Between Butt Cheeks?

I have these itchy bumps that always appear between my butt cheeks near my tail bone about every other month. it starts out as a pimple like bump and then it swells and then the severe itching starts. It usually lasts about a week but this time it has been three weeks and one will go away and another will come. Please tell me what you think it is.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms seem to be related to a foruncle which is an infection of the hair follicle.
I suggest using antibacterial soap to clean the area.
I also suggest an antibiotic cream for local application such as Neosporin cream.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
