What Could Be The Cause Of Red Ring Around The Ankle ?

I remember when I was about 6 having a red/brown ring around my ankle . I never went to the doctor to figure out what it was and just left it alone.The spot disappeared after a couple of months and mow 20 looking back on what it could have been I don t even know where to start to find an answer. Any suggestions what it could have been or where to start? Thank YOU!

can you please mention your age, sex and any associated disorder if you have?

the problem above you mention appears to be granuloma annulare or ring worm(fungal)infection.ring worm infection can be detected easily by KOH TEST or biopsy .also this infection associated with itching and these lesions are of size around 4 to 5 cm and occurs in groups of 3 or 4.. but granuloma annulare not associated with any other symptoms, size around 1.2 to 2 cm.its cause is unknown.

so its better to consult your dermatologist and get fully examined

accordingly treatment can be given

U ar not mentioning the symptomatology..,

Is it itching,numbness, pain or burning..,

Probable may be...Leprosy, Fungal or Granuloma annulare..,

First of all...consult Dermatologist...,

and take correct treatment ..ok..good luck
