What Could Be The Cause Of Pain In Throat While Swallowing?
Hey, I have pain when swallowing food in my throat and this weird feeling in my back as well. It happened 3 days ago, when I thought I had swallowed fish bone and had it stuck in my throat. The doctor however told me there's nothing there and may be a sensation
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.
As per your complain and presentation of symptoms the fish bone is not stuck into your throat but while passing through the food pipe or oesophagus the sharp fish bone has injured the throat mucosa causing abrasion and inflammation of the mucosa and when you eat now there is pain in swallowing.. Nothing to worry about it as there is nothing serious and the pain will gradually subside when healing will progress.. You should take a soft diet.. Avoid very hot, spicy and hard foods to prevent any further irritation to throat.. Drink plenty of water preferably cool as it will help in reducing inflammation.. You can also take anti-inflammatory painkiller Ibuprofen..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
