What Could Be The Cause Of Hypertension And Spasms In Back And Arms?

Hello, my name is Amanda. My fiancé went to the doctor today for a large lump/cyst type thing in his back. And while he was there he mentioned how sometimes his arms/hands will shake/spasm when he picks things up. It's completely at random. However, while he was there the doctor found out he has an extremely high blood pressure 165/105. He is 24, not over weight, doesn't smoke, doesn't drink much, we barely ever eat out and our food at home is no different than a normal household. So my question is why is his blood pressure so high when he's so young? It was high enough to scare the doctor into handing him blood pressure medicine right then and there and having him take one.

Hello,
Sometimes hypertension can result from problems in the kidneys or coarctation of the aorta in young adults. He need a total check up to rule out these disturbances. Is there any family history for hypertension at young ages? Rarely it can begin even at this ages without apparent causes.
