What Could Be The Bump On Back Of Head?

There's a bump on the back of my head, at my hairline and in between my ear and my neck. It's maybe a little smaller than an inch wide. It doesn't really hurt often. It's been there for at least 6 months. I'm not sure how long ago I found it. What could this be?

Hi! this is a common health problem in all populations and not to worry about this at all but still it should be investigated properly and examined by a clinician as I often get following results while performing needle biopsies from back of head bumps as follows:

1. inclusion cyst or sebaceous cyst 30% cases

2. a neurofibroma or dermatofibroma 22% cases

3. a lipoma 20 % cases

4. a lymph node 25 % cases

5. cancer / lymphoma 3% cases

Therefore you need to see a physician today and do a needle biopsy for confirmation; regards,
