What Could Be Causing Severe Nausea, Headaches, Frequent Urination And Fatigue If HPT Is Negative?

Hi, I am a 25 year old female, healthy weight, exercise everyday. My husband and I are planning to conceive, so we have stopped all methods of BC. Last cycle, I had spotting for few days then normal period for 1.5 days and spotting again for couple of days. I figured it was my usual period as hpt was negative. But a week after that, I have been experiencing severe nausea for 2 weeks, headaches, frequent urination and fatigue. While growing up around 15 yr old, I had thyroid problem(damage to the gland) which was managed and went away pretty quickly. Could it be hypothyroidism, as all my aunts and grandmother have the same? Thanks in advance.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about a female of 25, planning for a baby, stopped contraceptive, had bleeding which was supposedly normal periods, HPT was negative but started, nausea, for 2 weeks, headache, frequent urination and fatigue. Was a known case of hypothyroidism at the age of 15.
No, this does not look to be hypothyroidism.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Get the urinary pregnancy test done again.
Blood test: beta HCG
Ultrasound
Opinion of a Gynecologist to see that there is no tubal or so pregnancy as this can cause an emergency.
These will confirm whether these signs are due to pregnancy or due to some problem like gastroenteritis or so and if the pregnancy is negative you can go for the regular treatment of the symptoms.
