What Could Be Causing Abdominal Pain?

i have had lower left abdominl pain for 2.5 years now on and off. My GP says its probably bowel related (I have IBS) but sometimes when it flares up it travels right down to my ovary area. I was wondering if being on Cerazette could cause this? I have had internal examinations, and scans of ovaries and internal organs and all is fine.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,
Pain in abdomen for such a long period needs to be investigated .
I would suggest you the following:
Blood test -CBC, liver and kidney functions, Gold Quantiferon tests of tuberculosis,
Urine for routine, microscopy, culture ans sensitivity.
stool tests
CT scan of abdomen
Enteroclysis under fluoroscopy control .
All these investigations will help you to get a proper diagnosis and lead to a proper treatment.
IF needed both the lower and upper GI Endoscopies and biopsy will help
I find this answer helpful
