Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Could be an Osteochondroma which is a Benign bony lump seen in some kids. These lumps occur around knee or shoulder, sometimes ribs, associated with growing kids. An Xray will show the diagnosis. If causing symptoms, it can be shaved off by an orthopaedic surgeon.
