I have recently had a Whipple operation (two months ago) and my stool has is a yellowish color and sometimes with a filmy coating on the outside. Im eating a regular diet and have frequent bowel movements. Is the color of my stool a symptom that not enough bile is not being produced in my pancreas?

Hello,

It may be due to pancreatic insufficiency or incomplete digestion or absorption of bile or food intolerence etc.

Get it done stool fat estimation and stool analysis. Use artificial pancreatic enzymes for digestion. Eat low-fat diet.

If symptoms not improved please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
