What Causes Yellow/orange Liquid Discharge From Forehead?
Hello, I just came back from a little 3 day vacation from Florida. On Saturday i had went to the beach and I have gotten burnt. I came back to the house around 4 pm and everything seemed normal, except me being burnt. The next morning I woke up and I decided to take a shower. When I walked out of the shower I saw a dot of small yellow/orange liquid coming out of both of the corners on forehead. It has dried up, but I am curious what this liquid is and how long it will stay dried up. should I pick it off?
Hi, It is a bullae that is fluid that collects under your superficial skin. It is because the skin got burnt in that area. It will dry off in 1 week with a small scar . You take bath but don't scrub the skin hard . Let it fall off by itself.
Are you a diabetic ? In case you are , keep a close watch and report to a dermatologist in case of fever or pus from the skin .
No , Do not pick it off as it may spread if not drained under sterile conditions . Fluid coming out seems to be pus formed . Hence apply ointment with antibiotic with steroid combination ( Betnovate-c or fucibet ) And also take an antibiotic ( cefixime 200 mg ) an anti inflammatory ( ultracet ) orally for 3 days . if still there is no relief of symptoms or if symptoms worsen consult doctor nearby .
