What Causes Yellow Drainage From The Nose?

hi, my partner has experienced drainage of liquid (not thick) yellowish/orange fluid from his nose. It is more pronounced when his head is down, and happens a few times a day. A few headaches lately but nothing major and no other symptoms. He had sinus surgery a few years ago and read online that it can be a leak from spinal fluid to the brain, but it could be nothing I suppose. I told him to see our GP tomorrow but he wants to wait a fw more days. What would you advise? Thank you

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

I advise that he sees his GP tomorrow, it is relatively easy to determine if the fluid is cerebrospinal fluid.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Anders Mark Christensen,
General Surgeon
