What Causes Yellow Discharge From Nose?

In the evening yesterday, I bent over to get my daughter out of her car seat, and watery fluid suddenly started running out my left nostril. It felt like a nose bleed, but it was yellow and watery. Later, when I bent over again, it started gushing out again. I haven t been sick or had any other symptoms or injuries. And it seems fine today (I have bent over and tried to recreate the issue, but nothing happens.) What was this? Should I be concerned?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The yellow discharge from the nose means that your nasal passages are irritated and swollen, restricting mucus flow and causing it to dry out.
This could be due to a nasal infection or a cold.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
