What Causes Yellow Colored Stool?

Hi, I was wondering why my stool is yellowish, about 2 days ago I was struggling to go to the bathroom because my stool was pretty hard and after I got the stool out I started eating prunes, apricots, almonds, and a lot of water, now all of a sudden my stool is yellowish. Is this normal?

Hello,
Welcom to Healthcaremagic.com.
Gone through your query and it seems to me you had constipation and after that you had some purgatives, now you feel your stools are yellowish.
Yellow stools are normal because bile salts which make stools lubricating adds yellowness.
If stools remain too long in rectal area (during constipation) it's colour changes to grayish or blackish.
Yellow stools are normal so you don't need to worry. One thing you need to notice is that watch your urine color if it is yellowish /dark yellow then you need to go for a liver function test.
Hope your query are answered.
Regards
