What Causes Yellow Bump On The Back Of Tongue After Wisdom Teeth Removal?

I just got my wisdom teeth removed Thursday morning and it's now Sunday night. I have a lot of pain on the bottom one taken out and many ulcers. The bottom one is so swollen on the inside too that it's starting to cover the stitch. There is also a yellow pus looking bump on the very back of my toungue on that side too.

Hi.
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you have infection in the extraction socket which can be due to leftover infection in the socket or can also be due to infection caused as a result of any foreign body or left out piece of tooth or root into the socket which is causing infection leading to inflammation and pain..
Ulcers in the mouth can be canker sores which are due to side effect of the medicine that you must be taking post extraction to reduce pain and infection..
While a swollen pus filled bump on the side of tongue can be a canker sore or a traumatic ulcer caused due to trauma caused by extraction instrument..

You should consult your dentist and get evaluated and in case if there is infection in the socket irrigation of the socket followed by antibiotics like Augmentin and anti inflammatory painkiller like ibuprofen can help..
In case of foreign body or left over root piece removal of the same followed by antibiotics and painkillers will relieve..

For ulcers warm saline gargles, gargle with 1:1 solution of benadryl and milk of magnesia and applying a steroid based ointment like Kenalog and numbing gel like Orabase can help..
Take a Multivitamin tablet daily for 15 days..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
