Hello,

Since its 7 weeks post-C-section, you are suggested to get physically examined by your gynecologist who did the C-section, you need to have a follow-up treatment done. You may need IV fluids & antibiotics intravenously for quicker healing.

Keep the healthy weight as per your BMI, keep wound clean & get the dressing changed by a nurse (if you cannot do it yourself).

Wear cotton clothes, avoid postures that cause the skin layers to touch the incision wound. Take vitamin supplements to boost your body immunity system.

In the case of ruptured fascia, dehiscence of the wound, necrotising fasciitis and evisceration of the wound, your gynecologist may suggest a surgical repair.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
