What Causes Wide Spread Joint Pain?

I am a 57 yr old woman, working full-time, family raised, and have widespread joint pain, from toes to ankles, all the way up to neck ... I can't think of any joint that is pain free, but my back isn't as painful as the rest. I was tested ~25 years ago for RA (mother diagnosed at 30), but the diagnosis was negative. I am hesitant to go to a dr visit b/c I think that perhaps the dr will not be able to diagnose anything specific. Can you think of any condition that might cause widespread joint pain (no rash, live in quite cold climate)? Thank you.

Hi,
From history it seems that at this age there might be having osteoporosis or osteomalcia and degenerative changes taking place on joints might give this problem.
Go for blood checking for RA.
Take calcium, vitamin A and D supplements.
Go for slow walking exercise daily.
Ok and take care.
