What Causes White Spots On The Tonsils Along With Sore Throat?

Hi, i have recently noticed some white spots on my tonsils and there are some tiny white spots on the roof of my mouth. There is some discomfort when swallowing, but nothing much, and i also have a very mild sore throat. However there are no other symptoms. What is causing this?

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

It looks like bacterial throat infection causing tonsillitis..
White spots can be pus pockets secondary to infection..
So my suggestion is to consult an Emergency room and get evaluated and a clinical examination can be done followed by throat swab culture for confirmation..
You can be advised a course of antibiotics like Azithromycin or Augmentin, anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen.
Do warm saline gargles and antiseptic mouthwash gargles.
Suck throat lozenges to soothe your throat.
Avoid spicy and chilled foods and drink plenty of warm water..

Hope this helps..

Regards.
