Hi Jessie..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can very well understand your health concerns..
As per your complain white patches on tongue can be symptoms of Yeast infection on tongue known as Oral Thrush or
Candidiasis..
It is a
fungal infection caused by fungus Candida Albicans leading to formation of cheesy white patches on tongue and other mucosal surfaces..
I would suggest you to consult a Paediatric
Dentist and get evaluated..
In case of Thrush antifungal medicines like
FLUCONAZOLE or
ITRACONAZOLE are given for a period of 14 days..
Along with it antifungal lozenges , NYSTATIN mouthwash and Oral drops can be prescribed by the Paediatric Dentist..
Add more of Probiotics like Yoghurt and garlic in his diet..
It is a treatable condition and you need not to worry about it..
Hope this information helps and thanks for writing to Healthcare Magic..
Thanks and regards..
