What Causes White Painful Patches On The Corner Of The Eyelids And Nose?

I have recently developed white slightly raised patches at the corner of my eyelids both sides of my nose. They are not painful but look unsightly. I m English but live in Sri Lanka and a little worried about going to a local doctor as I haven t had good experiences in the past. Can you help?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I need to have a look at the white blotch on eyelids next to the nose. To me, it might be the case of skin tags if not painful.

Should check your cholesterol numbers. Living in Sri Lanka, I believe you consume street foods that might cause an increase in your blood cholesterol, which is sometimes deposited in the skin of this area.

Looking forward to seeing the requested photo for a more specific answer.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
