What Causes White Oozing From A Bandaged Wound?

Hello, I fell on concrete on Tuesday morning and today, something popped inside of my bandage and white liquid things came out of it. My friends tell me that it s pus. I looked online and it says something about infection and stuff. It kind of hurts when I move it and the white things come out. Now it stopped though.
