What Causes White Lumps At The Back Of Throat?

My daughter is having a sore throat. The sore is getting worse as it turns out to form some irritated tissues on the frontal right side inner surface from the tonsils. We see some white rice-like residue clinging on the irritated area and sometimes the white substance comes out doc. What is this ? Pls help us. Terence from Philippines

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.

As per your complain sore throat along with white rice like substances clinging at the tonsils that oozes out white substance can be pus pockets secondary to bacterial infection..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and he can do a rapid strep test and in case if infection is confirmed he can advise her antibiotics like Azithromycin, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, warm saline gargles and using a humidifier in your room..
Sucking throat lozenges can soothe the throat..
Chew Vitamin C pellets to boost up the immunity..
Drink plenty of warm fluids and take a soft diet..
