What Causes White And Painful Pimple On Ankle?

i felt a sharp poke at my ankle two days ago and I thought I was stuck by a stick, but yesterday it got warm and by yesterday it was read and burning, and now it looks like a big white head pimple and stings/burns. I am guessing something bit me, but should I be concerned?

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of white and painful pimple on ankle seems due to localized infection in that area. Need not to worry. Pimples can be avoided by use of topical antibacterial clindamycin gel along with mild topical steroid ointment. You should visit dermatologist once and start treatment after proper prescription. Avoid exposure to sunlight and keep area clean and dry. Avoid itching and pricking.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
